Butterfly Ball Venue Director
Jason Richardson is a serving police officer with the Lancashire Constabulary. Having first joined the force as a Special Constable in 1998, he was recruited into the force full time in 2002. He has served in a variety of roles throughout his career in South Lancashire, and more recently across Blackpool and the Fylde. In 2011 he was promoted to the rank of Inspector and in 2012 was appointed as the area Inspector for Blackpool Town Centre, recognised as one of the most high profile policing areas in the force.
During his police career, Jason has been awarded commendations for both leadership and bravery. In 2010 he was awarded the prestigious Pride of Lancashire Award for his actions which saved the life of a vulnerable member of the community.
Jason first became involved with the Princes Trust in 2008 when he was invited to join the organising committee of the annual Lancashire Prince’s Trust Celebrity Sports Dinner, an event which had been firmly established as one of Lancashire’s leading social events. After working with this event for three years, he was invited to join the planning team for the prestigious Butterfly Ball. Jason has also conducted a number of physical challenges in aid of the Prince’s Trust, including successfully completing the 2013 Virgin London Marathon and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
